Sarah Parsons
Sarah is a professional painter born in Boulder, CO who has resided in Franklin, TN since 2010. Her love for creating and appreciation for beauty began at an early age while visiting her grandmother’s art studio in Cape Cod. Inspired by her faith and love of color, Sarah's dream-like abstract landscapes aim to capture a feeling of a moment rather than a literal depiction of a scene. She uses a palette knife and dry brush to create bold color combinations that dramatically impact the spaces where they hang. Sarah believes in the healing power of beauty and feels that it leads to inspiration, healing and joy both for the artist and the collector. Sarah served her local church as the Creative Arts Pastor and Director for a number of years, and she now serves on the board of the Arts Council of Williamson County where she continues to promote local art and support artists wherever they are in their creative journey.
Sarah earned numerous accolades for her artwork in high school and went on to earn a BFA in painting and photography at a private university in Indiana. She has been painting professionally since 2009. She currently paints in historic downtown Franklin, TN where she also lives with her husband, two children and golden retriever.
